Larry Morales, Director of Photography/Editor


Larry is a multiple Emmy and NPPA-award winning director of photography/editor/producer of television/web/branded content, sizzle reels, opens, documentaries, promos and commercials.  A highly experienced storyteller, Larry puts the MAMBO in TV MAMBO with a unique creative vision and a distinct, yet versatile style.  He shot, directed and edited 10 episodes of Uncommon Content Partners' Hooked Up with Tom Colicchio and co-created the TV MAMBO original series Treasure Divers.  Larry was instrumental in creating the Dateline NBC 'look', with over ten years contributing to the long-running primetime news/entertainment series.  In 2005, he partnered with Jana Morales to form TV MAMBO, based in Miami.

Highly experienced, award-winning, hands on Supervisng Writer/Producer Jana Morales has pulled together many large-scale productions, including 10 episodes of Uncommon Content Partners' series Hooked Up with Tom Colicchio and 6 hours of the TV Mambo original series Treasure Divers.  Also specializing in branded content (Coca-Cola, BUICK, Tostitos, Cholula, Hasbro, Kraft), Jana taps into a solid advertising/marketing background, with more than 15 years experience in cooking/food/lifestyle television.  An accomplished Post, Field, Studio, Booking and Casting Producer with numerous cable credits in long and short form, Jana is an adept juggler with excellent communication, people and project management skills.  She is a creative problem solver and dedicated producer/completer with vision, whose work has been awarded with an Emmy, many advertising and ProMax/BDA awards, and a Chicago Film Festival Gold.




TV MAMBO is an award-winning video content producing team based in Miami, FL.  Founded in 2005 by Director of Photography/Editor Larry Morales and Supervising Writer/Producer Jana Morales, we strive for high production values and creative content that stands out and breaks through.  We work with networks, producers, production companies, marketing and advertising agencies to concept, shoot and edit television and web content/series, branded/event/ social content, sizzles, marketing videos, promos and commercials.


TV MAMBO series credits include the Emmy-nominated Wild BillZ Seasons 1 & 2 (Outdoor Sportsman Networks 2015-17, 26 episodes), celebrity talker Hooked Up with Tom Colicchio (Reserve Channel/NBC Sports, 11 episodes 2011-12), The Making of Brightline (WTVJ Special, 2018) and the 6-Hour original series Treasure Divers (DISH/VOOM 2007).  TV MAMBO also contributes to Bravo’s Project Runway, MSNBC’s Your Business, and shot EPK behind the scenes and cast interviews for Burn Notice (Seasons 1-7) and Graceland (Seasons 1-3).  


TV MAMBO has a long-running relationship with Food Network Brand Creative, producing branded content with them for Subway, Buick, Tostitos, Florida’s Natural, Hasbro, KIA and King’s Hawaiian.  We have also produced web cooking series for Coca-Cola, Cholula and Mazola.  


We’ve also had the good fortune to produce Americans for the Arts’ National Arts Awards Tributes for the past 13 years, 80 tributes to the greatest artists of our time including Andra Day, Ed Ruscha, Sophia Loren, Lady Gaga, Jenny Holzer, Robert Redford, Herbie Hancock, Kehinde Wiley, Julie Andrews, Richard Serra and B.B.King.


BEFORE TV MAMBO, NYC:


As lead editor and preditor at Dateline NBC (1993-2005), Larry Morales was instrumental in creating the Dateline ‘look’, cutting highly rated, award-winning stories and specials including 9/11 As it Happened, Emmy nominated coverage of the NYC Blackout, Madonna, Whitney Houston and Michael Jackson.  He was also tapped to serve as Creative Director/Videographer/ Editor of Peacock Productions’ series Bravo’s Sexiest Moments in Film, Discovery Dateline Survivor, and Your Total Health with Hota Kotb.  Larry has earned Emmys in Photography, Producing and Editing, and is fluent in English and Spanish.


As a New York City based producer, Jana Morales was Supervising Producer of the VOOM launch, overseeing branding of the first all-HD service of 21 networks (2003-2005).  She also produced the VOOM series MICRO, featuring the first microscopic HD images on television.  Prior to that, she was Senior Field Producer of Hearst-Argyle syndicated series Living Better with Ellie Krieger (2000-2001, 44 episodes, over 100 hosted field segments).  She produced promos, pilots, content and video for Food Network, Time Warner Cable, Showtime, CNBC, A&E, WE and TBS, and contributed field packages to Emeril Live.  Jana has one Emmy, Chicago Film Festival Gold, NEA Silver Apple, and many Promax, BDA and Addy Awards.
